BepiColombo

The Netherlands Space Society (NVR) invites you to a special evening dedicated to the BepiColombo mission on 29 March 2019. It will be hosted at our corporate member, HE Space Operations, on the Noordwijk Space Business Park.

BepiColombo- Europe’s first mission to Mercury will investigate the mysteries of the least explored planet in the inner Solar System. HE Space engineers Mario Basile and Edoardo Giana, working for the European Space Agency, will give an introduction.

Profiles of Speakers

Edoardo Giana is a Mechatronics Engineer working at ESTEC in the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management as AIT/AIV engineer. Edoardo was involved in the BepiColombo Spacecraft development (phases C/D and E) from May 2013 up until the launch in October 2018.

Mario Basile is a Physicist with senior-level experience mainly in Product Assurance (PA) disciplines. He has been working as PA for BepiColombo for 5 years  in Turin, in Noordwijk (ESTEC), and in French Guyana.
